maintained unbeaten record up in grade as he followed up his Windsor novice win from a fortnight ago, looking a smart prospect; mid-field but wide from the lowest draw, tanked along, headway from halfway, quickened to lead over 2f out, kept up to work; he will go on improving and looks the sort to hold his own in even better company, the likes of the Mill Reef and possibly even Middle Park likely to be worth considering.

ran at least as well in defeat as when winning the time before, plenty more on his plate against the winner than when coming out on top in the Hornblower over C&D last time; mid-field, ridden 2f out, plugged on.

ran well upped in grade, no let up in the gallop and doing well to hold on to gain some black type; disputed lead, headed over 2f out, not quicken; she won't be long in winning races.

had a bit less on his plate than in the Gimcrack but ran to just a similar level, the overriding impression that this grade is a bit beyond him; held up, ridden over 2f out, one paced; he'll be better off back in novice company, his nursery mark looking harsh.

produced his best effort to date, running to a fairly useful level, blowing his mark in the process, connections hopefully having options in mind before he gets reassessed; held up, pushed along over 2f out, never involved.

wasn't in the same form as last time, the step up in trip probably against her, and though her York run is a standout the time does give it some substance; disputed lead, headed over 2f out, weakened.

An open listed event, nothing having run to the standard usually required to win this race, so perhaps not a big surprise it was one of the least experienced that made the biggest jump forward, Bahrain Pride looking a standard or 2 above this field pretty much throughout; Queen of Rio and Terrichang took each other on to ensure a sound pace.

BAHRAIN PRIDE maintained unbeaten record up in grade as he followed up his Windsor novice win from a fortnight ago, looking a smart prospect; mid-field but wide from the lowest draw, tanked along, headway from halfway, quickened to lead over 2f out, kept up to work; he will go on improving and looks the sort to hold his own in even better company, the likes of the Mill Reef and possibly even Middle Park likely to be worth considering.
