failed to repeat last effort, also disappointing on her only other start on turf; patiently ridden, pushed along early in straight, headway over 1f out, not sustain effort; pinning down the value of her last effort remains tricky, but it shouldn't be judged as flattering until she's had another chance back on all-weather.

A weakish listed race, the form of the principals barely useful, Vetiver not needing to improve on her handicap efforts, but doing well on the day, having to overcome trouble.

VETIVER had been conceding weight to some useful handicappers at Chester and didn't need to improve to resume winning ways in a first-time tongue strap, this not the step back up in grade it might appear and she was value for extra too having met some interference; chased leaders, pushed along over 2f out, hampered entering final 1f, forced to switch, led close home, had bit in hand.

LADY ONYX (IRE) was much shorter in the betting this time and ran to a similar level to last time to finish placed at this level once again; mid-field, challenged early in straight, one paced.

GLENLAUREL (IRE) again ran creditably, no better or worse for coming back in trip; held up, pushed along soon after halfway, ran on.

GLORIOUS ANGEL (IRE) back up in trip, shaped as if back in form returned to turf; dived left leaving stalls, pulled way to front after 2f, shaken up 2f out, headed inside final 1f, no extra only late on.

SECRET ANGEL (IRE) wasn't seen to best effect and probably remains in form, not ideally placed having made her move more towards the middle of the track; slowly into stride, held up, headway early in straight, weakened final 100 yds.
