Jungle was massive in a nursery contested by mostly exposed ones but it was a 'Jack' who found the required improvement to put the trio with a name in common in the shade.

COCO JACK (IRE) capitalised on the drop in grade back down at 6f, enabling him to defy a mark he'd found a little beyond him in stronger races down South the last twice; tracked pace out wide, quickened to lead over 2f out, idled, wandered, asserted well inside final 1f.

JM JUNGLE (IRE) without the headgear this time, found it easier in much calmer waters, taking his Hamilton form figures to 132; pressed leader, pushed along over 2f out, rallied.

SHANDY STAR (IRE) wasted no time getting back on track in a lesser race back at Hamilton, likely to have finished second had she got out when her rider wanted; waited with, denied a run under 2f out, forced to switch approaching final 1f, got gap, ran on.

IATO'S ANGEL (IRE) shaped better than last time but still came up short; slightly hampered start, in touch, ridden 2f out, not quicken final 1f.

JUNGLE FEVER (IRE) has a mixed record in his first year; led over 4f, held when short of room final 100 yds.

JUNGLE TIME (IRE) shaped similarly to last time; in touch, pushed along 2f out, no extra well inside final 1f, needs the emphasis more on speed; would appear best at 5f.
