A bit of an upset in the first recognised Derby trial of the year, the outsider of the sextet coming out on top, but with the first 3 home having had just 4 previous starts between them there is every reason to believe that it will turn out to be an at least up-to-scratch renewal; a notable winner for trainer John Murphy, this was the first time since 2016 that this prize was not won by a member of the O'Brien clan.
