bounced back to form, repeating her trend of winning second time after a breathing operation, now 2-2 at this track with her other win having come at similarly-sharp right-handed Ludlow; led, steadied into 3 out, pressed on entering straight, forged clear flat; this wasn't a deep race and a mark pushing 120 will make things tough.

wasted no time getting back to form but is no more than averagely treated, this his eighth handicap and yet to win one; handy, upsides briefly 3 out, every chance again next, left behind by winner flat.

stepped up plenty on reappearance run, even if he never held much of a win threat; mid-field, not always fluent, outpaced early in straight (lugged right), stayed on run-in; he won at Fakenham last season but shapes as though he'll be better back on a more galloping track.

an uneasy favourite, went backwards from reappearance kept to hurdling; tracked pace, loomed up entering straight, not fluent 2 out, promised more than delivered; he's got the scope to do better over fences, but this isn't the first time he's produced a tame finish.

A fairly useful handicap but hardly one of particular interest, several not firing and a prominent pitch very much an advantage.
