showed improved form to get off the mark after 12 weeks off, possibly helped by the way the race developed, the placed horses having pressed on plenty soon enough; waited with, took closer order after 3 out, left in third next, switched right, produced to lead last, pushed out.

was upped in trip for his handicap debut after 10 weeks off and ran at least as well as when filling the same spot in maidens behind useful sorts on his last 2 starts, the winner's hand played much later here; raced wide, went on second, headed when hit 3 out, every chance still crossing last, not quicken; will continue to give a good in similar events.
