An up-to-scratch renewal of this Group 3, last year's runner-up defying a 3 lb penalty to make it 4 wins from 7 starts since ing this yard; the early pace was on the steady side and a number of those in behind met trouble in the straight.

PEARLS GALORE (FR) a model of consistency, didn't need to improve to go one better than she had in this race last year (when held at Gowran), doubling her tally at this level under an uncomplicated ride; close up, went on entering final 1f, driven out; holds an entry in the Matron Stakes but connections are reportedly eying up a tilt at a Grade 1 at Keeneland in October.

ROCA ROMA (IRE) ran much better than on her previous forays into this sort of company, the addition of a tongue tie continuing to have a positive effect; held up, still plenty to do early in straight, forced wide over 1f out, ran on late, best of those held up.

LOCH LEIN (IRE) ran at least as well in defeat as when winning the time before, having no problem with the slightly longer trip; mid-division, driven entering straight, had to pick way through, kept on, took third close home.

ROCKET SCIENCE (IRE) turned in best effort of the season, though did enjoy a better run through than a few of those that finished around her; chased leaders, close up fourth 2f out, avoided trouble, one paced; remains to be seen if able to back this up.

SURROUNDING (IRE) shaped as if still in good form, isn't the force of old; close up, every chance approaching final 1f, no extra only late on.

SZIGET (IRE) after 3 months off, seemed to excel herself; held up, headway out wide entering straight, effort over 1f out, no extra.

LET'S (IRE) without the headgear this time, ran up to best; raced along inside, mid-division, took strong hold, headway early in straight, short of room briefly 1f out, kept on.

PRETTY GORGEOUS (FR) is better judged on previous form, not much going right for her here; mid-division, lost place early in straight, headway when denied a run over 1f out, forced to switch, kept on, finished with running left, hands-and-heels ride.

MIRAMIS (IRE) shaped better than the distance beaten suggests, not quite getting home upped another little bit in trip; mid-division, travelled as well as any, shaken up over 1f out, found less than looked likely.

THINKING OF YOU (USA) ran creditably; made running, headed approaching final 1f, weakening when hampered final 100 yds.

FRIENDLY (IRE) ran one of this season's better races without carrying any sort of win threat; raced wide, mid-division, beaten early in straight.

PALE IRIS (IRE) shaped much better than the distance beaten suggests, beginning to find her stride when running up a blind alley 1f out; held up, shuffled back after 2f, keeping on when no room final 1f, finished with running left; capable of making more of an impact at this sort of level granted more luck in running.

ELIZABETHAN (USA) again finished well held; always behind.

SWEET GARDENIA isn't any better than this nowadays; chased leaders, weakened over 1f out.

PARENT'S PRAYER (IRE) can have a line put through this run, never able to get competitive after blowing the start; missed the break, always behind.
