made the frame in a traditionally hot sprint on the 2000 Guineas card - the same route taken by last year winner's Trefor - and paid a handsome compliment to that form, taking a significant step forward himself with a decisive sucess; raced off the pace, headway over 2f out, led approaching final 1f, kept on; he's proving versatile with regards ground and it remains the case that he'll be just as effective at 7f.

lost his unbeaten record but again showed plenty to like sent handicapping after 8 weeks off, posting a useful effort in beating all bar the experienced winner; in touch, chased leader approaching final 1f, no extra last ½f; he's almost certain to remain a player in these top-end 3-y-o sprint handicaps, the Charity Sprint at York in just under a fortnight an appealing target.
