capitalised on the drop in grade after 8 weeks off as she went one better than in the 2021 edition, probably not needing to improve but back from a break in top form nonetheless, doing no more than enough once in front back up at 7f; patiently ridden, travelled fluently, good headway 2f out, quickened to lead approaching last ½f, idled, ridden out.

highlighted his durability - and fine attitude - in bouncing straight back from his Ripon no-show, seeing off the first of the market leaders before the other swept by, even then not lying down; broke fast, led until approaching final 1f, kept on well, closed down leader close home, proved determined.

shaped similarly to here last time, except this fairly tame finish came at a lower level than the Lennox, a further 5-week break perhaps seeing him lack peak fitness; chased leader, quickened to lead over 1f out, headed approaching last ½f, no extra.

shaped as if still in good form in getting closer to Happy Power than in the Lennox but went as though 1m may be worth trying now; in touch, outpaced early in straight, rallied well inside final 1f.

had his winning run ended, a second run in 24 hours perhaps too much even for a 3-y-o who's taken his racing so well; broke well, handy, pushed along under 3f out, not quicken.

Happy Power didn't see things through but the other Group-race regular in the field did deliver, edging out a notably tough rival who'd got his own way in front.

DOUBLE OR BUBBLE (IRE) capitalised on the drop in grade after 8 weeks off as she went one better than in the 2021 edition, probably not needing to improve but back from a break in top form nonetheless, doing no more than enough once in front back up at 7f; patiently ridden, travelled fluently, good headway 2f out, quickened to lead approaching last ½f, idled, ridden out.
