A bunched finish for this listed race, but it has a solid feel to it with several proven smart performers in or around the frame and the pair that came home first and second are both lightly-raced 3-y-os, with the winner already looking something of an all-weather specialist; the pace was ordinary.

SLOANE AVENUE (USA) bounced back with a smart performance after disappointing on turf at Belmont 7 weeks earlier, with the return to all-weather clearly in his favour, and he is most progressive on this surface (now 3 from 3); dwelt, mid-field, headway out wide halfway, stayed on to lead inside final 1f, just held on having got first run; will continue to give good .

CLADOCERA (GER) hadn't been up to Group company the last couple of starts but regained the progressive thread making all-weather debut, travelling as if particularly suited to the new surface, and she could yet have more to come given this was just her fifth start; held up, travelled well, headway over 1f out, finished well but not quite reel in winner having conceded first run; will continue to give good .

GRAPHIC (IRE) back on all-weather, confirmed return to form down in grade, just losing out to a couple of less-exposed sorts in the finish; led, headed inside final 1f, kept on; should remain competitive.

CAPTAIN CAT (IRE) held leading claims down markedly in grade after 5 weeks off (5th in Group 1 last time), albeit not having quite the chance the market suggested, but proved to be something of a disappointment, particularly given it may have been his attitude holding him back; steadied at the start, held up, travelled well, headway over 1f out, carried head awkwardly, one paced; clearly talented but has quirks and best suited by a strongly-run affair given his style.

BALTIC KNIGHT (IRE) back on all-weather, did shape better than the bare result after a sluggish start, but has his limitations at this level; dwelt, in rear, ran on late, nearest at the finish.

ETON FOREVER (IRE) back up in trip after 5 weeks off, ran respectably having made a good fist of sprinting last time, but he's something of a veteran compared to the pair that fought out the finish; held up, headway over 1f out, not quicken.

PRINCE'S TRUST failed to continue his progression upped in grade, not totally disgraced but ultimately adding a little to his stop-start profile so far; mid-field, travelled well, weakened 1f out.

STEREO LOVE (FR) again had limitations exposed at this level; mid-field, weakened over 1f out.

OCEAN TEMPEST is operating below best at present; prominent, weakened 1f out.

PREMIO LOCO (USA) after 6 weeks off, clearly wasn't 100% and his days at this sort of level may be numbered; mid-field, weakened 2f out, eased.

TENOR (IRE) has had an excellent year and this was too bad to be true after 8 weeks off, clearly wasn't 100% on the day; prominent, weakened 2f out, eased.
