hadn't given his running in the Mill Reef on his final start at 2 yrs but will make much more of an impact in pattern company on the strength of this big jump forward after 9 months off; in touch, had to wait for gap over 2f out, quickened soon after, led over 1f out, won readily.

back on firmer ground, ran a lot better than previously this season, if still some way off his best; held up, not settle fully, progress before halfway, led under 2f out, hung right, headed over 1f out, wandered briefly, pulled clear of rest, not unduly punished.

Back at its usual home this year after being run at Goodwood in 2020, the field looked well up to scratch but the race ended up proving rather less than the sum of its parts, Mums Tipple running no sort of race and Khaadem still not near his best, either, though that said it's probably best to be fairly positive about a returning 3-y-o who scored with a degree of ease.
