has made a promising start over fences, 2 wins from as many starts, following up her Carlisle win in this higher grade; chased leader, jumped well, outpaced before 3 out, headway approaching 2 out, found plenty to lead approaching last, driven clear, suited by emphasis on stamina; a very likeable type, she could hardly have taken to fences better and is open to further improvement.

ran very well under a 6 lb penalty for her chase debut success, showing improvement, and probably did a bit too much too soon, albeit not really her jockey's fault given her exuberance; led, jumped accurately and went with typical enthusiasm, clear ninth, reduced advantage before 2 out, headed approaching last, tired when made only mistake there and had no more to give; she's started the season in top form and can win more races over fences.

beat the winner in a similar event over hurdles last season but doesn't have her size and hasn't taken to chasing quite as well, not coping with the high demands of this strongly-run race; in rear, made mistakes, struggling ninth, plodded on, made no impression.

was below form but possibly needs the emphasis less on stamina, certainly not as strong a stayer as those that beat her; held up, not always fluent, some headway ninth, weakened 4 out, not persevered with once held; it'd be no surprise to see her reverted to hurdles soon.

is a useful hurdler, well up to this class over timber, but it was a tough race to make her chasing debut in and her lack of experience showed; chased leaders, jumped none too fluently, struggling eighth, pulled up after eleventh; should do better in calmer waters.

The inaugural running of this listed mares chase attracted a quality field, all of them useful sorts; in a strongly-run race there was no hiding place and only the first 2 coped, dominating from a long way out.

BRIERY BELLE has made a promising start over fences, 2 wins from as many starts, following up her Carlisle win in this higher grade; chased leader, jumped well, outpaced before 3 out, headway approaching 2 out, found plenty to lead approaching last, driven clear, suited by emphasis on stamina; a very likeable type, she could hardly have taken to fences better and is open to further improvement.

DESERT QUEEN ran very well under a 6 lb penalty for her chase debut success, showing improvement, and probably did a bit too much too soon, albeit not really her jockey's fault given her exuberance; led, jumped accurately and went with typical enthusiasm, clear ninth, reduced advantage before 2 out, headed approaching last, tired when made only mistake there and had no more to give; she's started the season in top form and can win more races over fences.

THE ORGANIST (IRE) beat the winner in a similar event over hurdles last season but doesn't have her size and hasn't taken to chasing quite as well, not coping with the high demands of this strongly-run race; in rear, made mistakes, struggling ninth, plodded on, made no impression.

ROCK ON THE MOOR (IRE) was below form but possibly needs the emphasis less on stamina, certainly not as strong a stayer as those that beat her; held up, not always fluent, some headway ninth, weakened 4 out, not persevered with once held; it'd be no surprise to see her reverted to hurdles soon.

MORELLO ROYALE (IRE) a useful hurdler, fell at the first fence on her chasing debut.

RONS DREAM is a useful hurdler, well up to this class over timber, but it was a tough race to make her chasing debut in and her lack of experience showed; chased leaders, jumped none too fluently, struggling eighth, pulled up after eleventh; should do better in calmer waters.
