A good-quality race by fillies standards, tightly-knit as well, though none appealed as notably well treated beforehand and it doesn't strike as strong form; the pace held up very well, the first 3 in those positions more or less throughout.

GRAN CANARIA QUEEN proved better than ever to resume winning ways, her rider's valuable 7-lb claim making a difference, also seen to good effect from the front in race in which those held up didn't figure; broke fast, made all, effort 2f out, kept on well, just held on; she'll continue to give good but it'd be a surprise if this isn't very close to her limit.

LOVE ISLAND wasted no time getting back to form in an easier race back against her own sex; close up, effort under 2f out, chased leader final 1f, kept going well, just failed; she was competitive off higher marks last season.

JAMESBO'S GIRL wasted no time getting back to form but is now 3 lb higher than a mark off which she's been beaten 3 times already this season; close up, ridden 2f out, kept on, had every chance.

LULU THE ZULU (IRE) well backed, remains in good form but didn't quite have the toe for a flat-out test at 6f, likely to need softer ground/a stiffer track to be fully effective at the trip; mid-division, outpaced after halfway, kept on inside final 1f.

ISHIAMBER back down in trip, wasn't disgraced in first-time cheekpieces, probably doing about all she could from further back than ideal; mid-division, effort under 2f out, one paced.

MU'AJIZA shaped as if still in good form, finding the test sharp enough, which meant she was poorly placed; in rear, struggled with pace, kept on final 1f, never landed a blow.

AVON BREEZE is slipping in the weights but was below form, rather keen in refitted headgear; mid-division, raced freely, effort 2f out, not quicken.

RIDGE RANGER (IRE) has form that makes her closely matched with the winner but was below form, maybe just having an off day for all patient tactics weren't ideal; held up, ridden soon after halfway, made no impression; type to bounce back quickly.
